IT ALL STARTED WITH A VIEW. AND A VISION.
In the fall of 2013, my family and I discovered this amazing, three bedroom treasure for sale on the sixth floor of the Heron Building, with its stunning water views from every bedroom (yes … we said every bedroom!). Needless to say, we were immediately smitten! Four weeks and a complete remodel later, this condo’s interior had been brought up to par with its spectacular views. (No small feat, believe us. But then, you’re worth it. 🙂
With the kind of attention to detail that might characterize us as “OCD” (which is fine with us, BTW … the end result speaks for itself), we set out as a matter of course to provide a luxurious space with every imaginable comfort of home, as well as a few extras you’d never expect. Like a kitchen that’s second-to-none and stocked with everything from a Keurig coffeemaker to a Ninja blender. Bedrooms dressed in premium linens euro-top mattresses that lull you into a restful night’s sleep. Spa-like bathrooms, including a master with a Jacuzzi tub, double vanity and thick, fluffy towels.
THE IDEA IS TO KEEP WONDERFUL PEOPLE LIKE YOU COMING BACK.
Consequently, Heron 607 has quickly grown to become one of our family’s personal favorites … and our guests seem to feel the same way, as evidenced by the compliments we’ve received since we began sharing it.
See, we believe that when you book a vacation with us, if every detail is taken care of, and the experience exceeds your expectations (in other words, if the place feels like home … maybe even better), you’ll come again. And that puts a smile on our faces every bit as much as it does yours.

THE MASTER RETREAT – Our master, in shades of blue and yellow, with charming wainscoting details, is perfect for soothing away that “good tired” feeling of a day spent frolicking at the beach. What happily weary vacationer wouldn’t benefit from a restful night’s sleep on a plush Simmons Beautyrest Eurotop mattress all decked out in a Palais Royale bedspread and DreamZone pillows? We’ve even added black-out drapes for those who have “sleeping in” on their vacation agenda. For your entertainment (in the event that the view from your windows doesn’t steal the show), we’ve mounted a new 32” Visio Smart HDTV on the wall so you can enjoy live cable programming or steam Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, Pandora, and more. And, just to shoot for the moon, a new ceiling fan simulates the ocean breeze while still allowing you to luxuriate in air conditioned comfort.
THE SECOND BEDROOM – Our second bedroom, ideal for a second couple (the in-laws, perhaps?), continues the theme of coastal extravagance with its own king sized bed which is dressed in the same soft 500 thread count sheets, Tommy Bahama Bedspread and DreamZone pillows. We also added a 32” HDTV to this room, even though the view from the abundance of windows could take an Academy Award all by itself. And, of course, a ceiling fan completes the retreat.
THE THIRD BEDROOM – Ideal for kids, teens or adult guests, the third bedroom sports twin beds smartly outfitted in turquois blue linens and a water view all its own. What a delightful way for a prince or princess of any age to drift off to sleep after a long day spent building sandcastles! A 32′ Visio Smart HDTV keeps boredom at bay, in the unlikely event it occurs. And, you guessed it, we didn’t forget the ceiling fan.
THE BATHROOMS – The importance of a properly appointed loo cannot be understated. And doubly so while on vacation. Ours are the perfect oasis for preparing for a night spent out on the town, creating wonderful memories. In addition to colors that soothe and calm, our bathrooms are adorned with 100% cotton luxury towels, sparkling new chrome faucets & fixtures, as well as a Jacuzzi tub and double vanities in the master, for a spa-like retreat.
THE KITCHEN – Embrace your inner Emeril or Rachel Ray! This fully-equipped, modern cooking space with its gleaming granite countertops and stainless appliances is stocked to the nines with everything you need to do just that. And with gourmet style! Whether you’re cooking an intimate meal for that special someone or hosting a family gathering, you’ll find everything from beautiful dishes, glasses and utensils, to the essentials like Tupperware, pots & pans, dish towels and, of course, a Kurig coffeemaker, all at your fingertips. Bon appetit!
LIVING & DINING ROOM – We stumbled upon a gorgeous 90” distressed solid wood dining table at a local furniture store and just couldn’t pass it by. You will love dining in at this table that comfortably seats eight, with elbow room to spare! Designer touches such as contemporary lighting and ceiling fans enhance the adjoining living space which houses a comfy microfiber queen sleeper sofa and love seat, 47” HDTV, and a convenient work desk (oops … we mean, “play desk”) for you to stay caught up on emails or post Facebook pics of your vacation to make all your friends jealous.
LAUNDRY – Who knew doing the laundry could actually be … how shall we put this … pleasant? (Well, at least maybe a bit less chore-like.) No tiny, all-in-one-unit-that-takes-all-day-to-finish-a-load for our guests! We’ve provided a full-sized washer and dryer to make quick work of it for you so you can get back out on that beach, pronto. Heck, maybe even the kids will lend a hand.
OUTDOOR PATIO – Remember slow paced meals? The kind followed by actual lingering at the table? Revisit it! We’ll wager that getting the family to stay awhile won’t be an issue in this breathtaking setting with a view of the Chooctawhatchee Bay. Sit back and enjoy a meal, a snack or a conversation at this sturdy table for six. A lovely framed 4×8 mirror attached to the opposite wall creates a continuous “horizon,” so you can enjoy the view of the water, no matter which direction you’re facing. Who wouldn’t want to linger for that?
BEACH SERVICE – Did we mention that our villa includes complimentary Beach Service (two chaises and an umbrella all set up and ready for you) every single day of your stay? In case it isn’t clear enough yet, yes … we really do want you to enjoy your stay that much.

This fabulous villa on the BAY SIDE offers breathtaking views of BOTH the pristine Chooctawhatchee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. In fact, you will enjoy unspoiled water views from every room in this gorgeous space!
The beach-to-bay amenities at Destin West are unsurpassed by any in the area, boasting a 5,000 square-foot swimming pool overlooking the Gulf, kid-friendly zero-entry (aka beach) pools, three giant Jacuzzis, a waterfall pool that’s heated during cool seasons and – the piece de resistance – the resort’s stunning 700-foot LAZY RIVER, complete with accent lighting (for nighttime oohs and aahs worth staying awake for).
Meander across the resort’s private footbridge, and you’re on a pristine, white-sand beach along the Gulf of Mexico’s Choctawhatchee Bay. Rent boogie boards, sea kayaks, or jet skis.
